This image of the Common Wasp, Vespula vulgaris was taken in the entrance to the wasp nest. Even such a well managed system as the wasps comming and going stuffs up occasionally !!! The upside down Common Wasp, Vespula vulgaris was leaving with a piece of dirt when the other Vespula vulgaris collided with it.
